New Pond Excavation on a Woodland Property

Scope of Work

Dug a new pond on a wet, wooded property — excavated to depth, shaped the banks into stable stepped slopes, used the excavated soil to build a raised berm around the pond, and levelled an approach so the owner can drive in.

The Challenge

The ground was soaked and the edges were soft, so the machine had to work from firm shelves cut into the bank, and the excavated soil was spread and dried on site rather than trucked out through soft bush.

The Outcome

A pond that holds a steady water level with firm, shaped banks. Excavated material was reused to create a usable berm, eliminating unnecessary haul-away costs for the owner.
