Scope of Work
Built a full timber stairway with handrails and gravel landings down a steep wooded slope to the water, including a graded gravel path connecting the cabin, the stairs and the shoreline.
The Challenge
Steep, rooty slope with mature trees on both sides and no machine access to the lower landing. Every beam, step and load of gravel had to be carried in and set by hand without cutting the trees the owners wanted kept.
The Outcome
Safe, level access from the cabin to the water year-round. Gravel treads shed rain instead of holding it, and the slope is stabilized against washout.
