Scope of Work
Rebuilt a failing gravel driveway through the bush to the house — removed the rutted surface, laid and packed down a coarse stone base, shaped the surface with a slight peak down the centre so water runs off, topped it with finer packing gravel, and cut drainage ditches on both sides.
The Challenge
The original lane was flat across with no ditches, so rain and melt water ran straight down the wheel tracks and washed the gravel out every spring.
The Outcome
The raised centre now sheds water to both sides and the driveway has held its shape through the seasons without needing a top-up.
